Diane McNamara, Founder & President of Fire it Up, PR
Diane McNamara launched Fire it Up, PR in 2002 with a mission to deliver senior-level expertise directly to clients—without the bureaucracy and overhead of large agencies.
She began her career in television news at the ABC affiliate in Springfield, MA and the CBS affiliate in Boston after attending Tulane University and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. But she soon discovered her true passion wasn’t reporting the news—it was helping shape the stories that influence audiences and create change.
For more than 30 years, Diane has advised leaders and organizations across entertainment, lifestyle, hospitality, manufacturing, nonprofit, and political sectors. She's been a frequent on-air commentator with Boston’s Fox and NBC affiliates and previously hosted a political talk show on 1510 WMEX, one of Boston’s legacy 50,000-watt stations.
In addition to leading Fire it Up, PR, Diane is a founding partner of the Groundwork 360 Alliance, a consortium of communications and outreach firms that deliver coordinated, scalable campaigns with both national reach and local trust.
Deeply committed to community service and philanthropy, Diane has contributed her time and leadership to the The Junior League of Boston & NYC, as a board member of the Gifford Animal Shelter and the Board of Governors for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (The Emmys), reflecting her enduring connection to the media industry.
